Why did the ZT/kershaw forum get shut down?

In my opinion the forum was being dysfunctionally run. The moderators would not tolerate negative feedback on their products. I personally have had problems with two of my ZT's, especially my 0560's. Although I am still a fan of their knives I learned never to bring up anything negative about their products. The moderators would put up with nothing less than praise for their knives and brand.

I can only assume that the process of "controlling public opinion" through the use of banning members, and closing threads is a very labor intensive ordeal. And eventually the mods couldn't keep up with it.

As another member said, they are not fit for the public eye. A company that wants to develop a successful/healthy community NEEDS to allow FREEDOM of discussion. Essentially the moderators choked the life out of the community and set standards for their forum that they couldn't maintain.

Perfectly stated.

Banning members? Huh? You know what they say about assumptions. Rycen linked to an earlier thread that has all the info there is. There isn't going to be anymore.
