I've been searching all over but i've yet to find a solid answer. what was the original reason for CRK to change from the "classic" sebbie to the "regular" sebbie? i still can't decide between the two

Personally, I think they changed from the classic to the regular style just to make me happy. They kept on making the classic to make some of the others happy.

Actually I think it was a refinement of the design and because enough people continued requesting the earlier version the classic was re-introduced.

There is certainly more to be learned and I'm curious about the details, too.

I believe it's called. . . . .trying to be innovative. :D

And it worked. :D

IMH,
the ergonomy is better on the Regular
when you work with your Sebenza a lot.
but the line is more beautiful in the classic.

I really enjy the ergo on the small classic.
The back of the handle is gently curves to follow the palm of the hand.

Cheers

Stronger tip. More positive grip. Might these be two reasons? It appears that the Regular is a stronger, more durable design and more functional design while the Classic is... well.... prettier. :) I say this of course as a person who's only Sebbie is a large classic (my 2nd of two so far). :)

I like the Regular's handle look, but the Classic's blade
Then order a Regular but get it with a Swedge- that will make the Regular blade more of a clip point- like the Classic.

Take care, Neil
