I freakin hate tanto, i really really hate recurves, and coated blades are for wanna be military guys.













So how the hell did I fall in love with this freakin awesome knife today!?!?!

Its the most badass knife iv ever held! Iv had my eye on a roadhouse and went to get it but they only had a super desert tan serrated, I wanted plain. The other store that sells emersons had a super cqc7 that I already knew was there so I headed over to get it. Looking through the box of emersons I saw super cqc8s, cqc7s, mini and super commanders in sw and black blades, a horseman...........and a cqc15. Its a knife id never even considered but once it hit my hand I knew it was the one. I fondled the rest of em again just to make sure and then I paid. I put my new protech cqc7 in the cigar box with my crks, zts and benchmades. This 15 is gonna get some serious pocket time. Now, time to pimp it out.

And the sticker on my truck makes it official, im an emersan fan now even after looking at then last year and passing. And how about that Texas sky?
 
congratulations! i love that blade. where in TX are you btw? your description of the "box" of emersons sounds familiar lol...im in houston. congrats!
 
Then you must have been to Collectors Firearms lol. The best gun store in Houston but they have more knives than any knife store lol. I could spens hours in that place looking at the old historic guns and knives.
 
Congrats, Simplespeed! The CQC-15 is unlike any other knife pattern that I know and it is just plain 'bad ass'.

correct you are sir. i kinda wonder if i might have met you in there the last time i was there lol. i was looking for emersons and ended up buying something else, but i spent like 2 hours shooting the shit with all the customers and workers.

Thats very possible, I spend waaay too much time in there lol.
 
The CQC 15 remains to this day, my favorite knife I have ever owned. Too bad I traded it. Like a doofus.
 
I was dead set on a roadhouse, and will still have one sometime soon. But the handle on this 15 is so simple and awesome at the same time. I mean, who would have thought a handle that prevents your hand from slipping forward AND backward would work so well on a knife? Why isnt every knife like this? Lol. I might end up with a stonewashed 15 before the roadhouse.
 
Dang. I woke up this morning with that stonewashed mini commander on my mind. Might have to go take a look at it this evening.
 
hey man, do you happen to remember if CF had any roadhouses? i wanted to check one out before buying online (dont worry, i wont buy it out from under you! lol) i only know of 2 stores locally that sell emersons: collectors and top gun. maybe i missed one or maybe its far from me lol but ive never seen a roadhouse at either. :(

i LOVE the cqc-15 and the super commander though. they fit my hand so well. the mini commander is super sweet but i prefer a little bigger blade.

oh and can i just say that i wanted that super cqc-7 as well at first, but i felt like the handle was too big for the blade size. the regular cqc-7 is a much better fit for me, but i wish they put the blade length of the super onto the regular cqc-7 lol. good taste man..
 
Beckwiths blades on 290 on the outbound side has a case full of emersons. They only have a super roadhouse with tan scales and black serated blade. I think they are asking $269. They also have a lot of other cool k ives like benchmades and tops and esee and al mar. Check out thier site for exact directions.

CF doesnt have any. He said hes waiting for a shipment that might have one. Dont skip buying it for me though, I think this cqc15 is gonna hold me over for a while lol.
