Why do I like Benchmade Axis lock so much

I have a few Benchmades ,Sebenza's ,spydies etc.

I have been putting the BM Squel [707] and the Mini grip Ritter in pocket most days.
I banged up right hand and needed to use left ...no problem these knives are so easy to deploy and close .
Love the options in opening ,smooth ,fast..really about as good as it gets

I like the wide drop point on the Ritter so much I'll be getting the large version.

May pick up the 710 it's like a big brother to the 707 ;)

Any of your Favorites I should check out ?

Rift and Mini-Rukus

Both sit in the pocket very well and are great additions to any collection IMO.

I usually EDC the Rift. Very useful blade shape. Sexy too.
 
Everyone should own a 710, or at least give it a fair trial. I really like the 705. It's disco'd but you can find them pre-owned without too much trouble; Benchmade still has it listed as a discontinued product on their website so you can see the specs.
 
I think all of mine are out of production now! This is my newest the 921 Switchback. It makes my old 943 seem unsmooth in it's action which is to say a lot since it was the previous smoothest action I had felt! This knife is so light, useful and practical! My 615 is still my favorite just barely.

I've got my Benchmade 960 with me today - also discontinued and also extremely smooth.

I love the axis lock too. It's lightning fast, both in opening and closing, doesn't push the blade to one side, keeps your fingers out of the blade path, has a good detent, is smooth, and is hard to accidentally disengage. I went with the 943 over the 710 because I liked the aluminum handles, titanium backspacer, and thinner slicing blade.
 
I have a mini grip and a torrent. I like the torrent but had to sent it back to benchmade for repair. :barf:
 
My favorite knives bar none, folders anyway.

ETA: I just ordered a 710.:D

Just found a 950 rift in local gun shops case nib xx/1000 nice price too

Thta lg Ritter looks good with black blade:thumbup:
 
Don't think this one has been mentioned. That is the Knifeworks Exclusive BM805 TSEK, in 390 blade steel. Only 400 made and it's down to around 100 left. Mine is quietly waiting to come to it's new home on the 25th!

The picture shows the style of G-10 the handles will have. Even though it is blue, the actual color for the KW's will be black, just in the same pattern.

It's just a great design...I have a Mini and a regular sized Doug Ritter and a Mini Grip M390...I carry the Mini's everyday...The Axis lock spoils you...

That's my Benchmade 930. It was the most appealing to me, with the 940 a close second.
