Why do people fill up carts, then never check out?

Is it cruel punishment of Hogdom?

Perhaps they are spreading the wealth, as some did with the orange and jungles?

Or do they have a brain malf and forget to check out?

Inquiring minds wanna know! (This applies more for the Skeletons than the ones last night. I can't understand why so many carts went un-checked-out and then Jaxx got htem all. It made no sense.)

When a Hog hits the trough, you have to fight for the slop :) So they sometimes bite off more than they can chew...that's a Hog for you!

I wonder if some people add them to the cart....then look at there CC and realize "aint no way I can handle 10 of these boys" and have to drop some or decide they dont want any at all.

or maybe there wife caught em?

With me personally I normally get more than one by accident in the mad scramble... "I clicked, nothing happened! Did I get it?!? Click it again! Again! AGAIN! DOH!!! It's gone!! !@#!$!@#!"

Check my basket, whew ok I don't need all these, update quantity and throw back.

WORD!!! I wanna know, too. I think that it's rather messed up to load a cart and then... What??? Go drinkin'? I mean... Didja get LOST on the way to the checkout page? Do ya think that these carts will hold your unpaid-for swag until when... BLADE 2007? What? Huh? ...Hey, don't worry yourselves about me... Load away!!! You are MY friend(s), even though many others think thatcha SUXX. Really... If ya can't pay, then don't play! ...Or keep on doin' what you are doing, because like I said, you are only doing ME a favor. Nuff said.

Sorry Dennis in Ma, but I had to chime in here, because you're RIGHT. :)

Good Question. I really have no idea. Maybe because they get a feeling of attainment, beating the odds, etc, when they get the chance to buy the knives. . . then they just chicken out.

Or maybe they are drunk and pass out on the keyboard.

!!! Wow, I never considered that! Funny thought, drunken HOGS nationwide, drooling into their keyboards... :D All saying the same thing when they wake up... "Where'd those Wardens go???"

I thought I clicked twice, but ended up with six orange wardens in my basket. I tossed a few back.

And then later when I was waiting for a green one to show up, I mistakenly clicked on another orange one as soon as I saw the "$217" price because if you take enough time to read what it is, it'll probably be gone. I tossed that one back too.

I can see the dude that gets 12 and throws back 2.

But I can't understand the guy that puts 10 in his cart and NEVER checks out. That makes NO sense to me. And yeah, you are helping Jaxx. . . . and me last night. So thanks. . . but it seems so silly. Looks like a LOT of people do it too. We're not talking one or two BF members goofing off. There are dozens of blades that get tossed back by Skunk. ??????

I had to get my greenies last night by catching throwbacks/dumped merch... threw back orange after orange patiently waiting, cause I'd already got some of OJGW's , but completely missed on the initial offering with the greenies, they went really FAST. LOL :D ...But by the time I'd gotten the greenies, I'd toosed a DOZEN OJ's back in over the time it took to catch the others... You're right, it's a lot of people doing this.

The good thing about that is if you arrive late there is still a chance to get something! :)

I think that the inactivity time period has been shortened... causing these to drop back quicker i.e. hours not days. :) Might just be me, but it seems shorter... I find myself not wanting to keep trying for more for very long if I have caught one or two in my cart... Afraid that they will drop back in w/o me knowing! It's HAPPENED to me already with the Skelly's... had a bunch, wuz heading to checkout... total? 00.00, LOL they were back up at the Store! Oof. LOL

I think it is like writing a computer virus... some twisted jerk just thinks it is cool to cause people grief. It is like an older friend I know says “It is just something I’ll personally never understand… like homosexuality.”

I'm not sure that I think everyone is being intentionally malicious. I have more faith than that. It may be what I think someone here has already alluded to: "Ha, I got some, I could pull the trigger, but I am happy to have simply beat a few HOGs across the finish line." It's not really my cup of tea, but different strokes for different folks I guess.

Oh I see kind of like when I go fishing and release big fish rather than killing a 15 year old fish that accounts for a lot of breeding? Too bad they don't go back into the store and multiply.

Yes, I should clarify my words a bit... I'm really only talking about those who load the cart and then just LEAVE it loaded... for hours/days/weeks until the cart expires on it's own time limit, or 'Skunk nukes 'em. I'm sure that we've ALL had a bit of fun at one point or another. I could have taken over 50 Skelly GW's easily... But after loading up that last cart for a 'how many left' count, I busted azz to cancel the cart before anyone got discouraged AND i mean fast!!! 5 seconds MAXIMUM?. It is fun... but there's a pretty thick line between a little fun and being mean about holding them in limbo. I will go out on a limb here, and say that it is most likely not very cool for Mr. & Mrs. Skunk & the BCS, as I imagine that they have to keep tabs on the amount of knives moved through the Store AND of those, how many were actually PAID for. Less sold means less cash available for the next purchase from Busse, which might lead to smaller orders... (Insert hypothetical negative spiral theory here.)
JMHO YMMV :)
