My Grinder Motor Gets A Bit Warm , I Have A Scroll Saw That Does Not Get Hot At All, While I Have A Dremel That Does Get Hot. My Shop Vac Which Is New Also Gets Warm. A Bit Off A Knife Subject But I Figure There Should Be A Few Motor Junkies Here That Copuld Shed Some Light On This Subject. Does It Have Everything To Do With Current Or Amps From One Motor To Another?

As you increase the load on a motor the current draw goes up.Industrial motors are rated for this, thus they can dissipate the extra heat generated.Cheaper motors,or motors under-rated for the job, will heat up .Dremel tools use small motors,so they heat up quickly. The scroll saw probably has a fan to force air through the motor to cool it.The grinder motor is most likely a sealed unit and can't get rid of the excess heat.To answer about your specific motor we would need to know what it is.You didn't state what kind, rating, size, casing, and what it is mounted on.
