Why do you like beckers?

Handles are comfy for me, they are no BS tools for the blue collar outdoorsman who will buy American quality gear when he can. They also have a good steel with an excellent heattreat.
Plus- They're sexy!

I like em cause they cut SPAM!!

Seriously though.... Performance to price ratio is off the friggin charts!!
Hard use tools for hard use fools!

Made in the USA, high value, exellent reputation, great handles and a good range in sizes and styles.

Also, Ethan dosn't seem (to me at least) to be all about money. He does give aways every month, stands behind his product even when it is not his fault and helps make this place fun.

Gotta support a guy like that.

Jeremy

Like the man behind them, quality product at a very fair price and U.S. made (at least most are).

I like santaclause ;)

I like mine because there made in the states and you can beat the hell out of them and they just keep going, I get tired before my Becker Knives do....

Plus they look awesome

I like them because I can't find ESEEs in my area. :D Kidding! Really, they're my favorites though for their ruggedness, made in USA and really to me they're just the best all around designed knives I've ever handled. Plus, Beckerheads !

Great answers so far!

Personally, I was drawn to the shapes and overall proportions. They just seemed right. Next, i really liked the fact that they were tools you could use in the field rather than just hang on a wall - although there is nothing wrong with that option either! Finally, I appreciate the fact that they were made in the US rather instead of trying to save a few dollars with offshore production. Almost forgot, i think it's cool that Mr. Becker enjoys cooking!

Sort of clinched it for me!

Cuz they are a NO BS, hard working, beat the snot out of it beast made here and designed by an all around likable guy. And a good range of size and function.

Ive said this before but it is worth mentioning again. I have to buy in to the philosophy and heart behind the company. I have read a lot about Ethan and really respect his contribution to the industry as well as the hobby. That is what got me interested. Then there's always the fact that they are:
Good value
high quality
Tough no frills knives.
Made in the good old US.

I have had so many knives that I was afraid if I pushed them too much they would not hold up. Never felt that way with a Becker. Just a well made, tough knife!

Like 'em ?? I love 'em!!! :)

I first came to beckerhood to replace my oldschool carbonV SRK, didn't want a rat6 because it was apples to apples blade wise, I wanted something bigger, and yet affordable.... enter bk7, this was perfect I pretty much traded out the srk for the 7 and boy was I happy...

I won't say they're purdy because I wouldn't buy one before (camillus)because they fit the fugly category, that was before I knew any better :D... Tastes change in this community that's for sure, one minute you like this, then that, etc.. but one things for sure I'll NEVER like serrations.. :D

I like Beckers because they are tougher than anything I'm going to throw at them, come and stay sharp, the handles are very comfortable to me, they're highly modifiable and you get all that for a very good price, made in the USA and designed by a guy who will talk to any of as equals.

They're tough, they stay sharp, they resharpen easily, they're very decently priced, they're infinitely customizable, and they're simple. Everyone involved, from the designer and the manufacturer to the legion of fans, are all good people.

That's why I like 'em.

i like'm because they're ... my preciouseses

I like that they're made from 1095 steel. Really, that's what got my interest started. They take a good beating then they clean up real nice. Before Beckers knives were thought of as something you own, like a home. Now it's like something you tame. A wild stallion that pulls at the ropes...drags you along. They're also like that brat y'all know that begs for a beating, then laughs in your face when you beat the fire out of him(I may have been that kid; ) BK&T forum is the greatest....period!
