Why does Buck have different Model #'s for Wal-mart knives?

I picked up 2 Buck knives at my local Wally and noticed there was a WM in the model #. Any one know why? I know it must stand for Wal-Mart, but is there any difference in the knives as the non Wal Mart knives do not have the WM.

Some of the conspiracy minded folks would say they make them cheaper for Wal Mart but they are same materials, quality, etc.

Catalog numbers maybe, but I have never seen model numbers being different in Wal-Marts.

And I've tried to find evidence personally of Wal-Mart Bucks being made in a lesser quality than other stores, and so far have not found any proof of it.

Fortunately, I like the sheath for my Wally 110 :D How's the leather 110 sheath?

You are correct...it is for the different sheath.

As to the knife...the lifetime warranty kind of eliminates the temptation to cheapen anything...we would only get pounded later.
