Why does everything get underlined?

I'm going along, reading posts.......I post something, suddenly everything in sight gets underlined....what's up with that???
I've seen it before on many posts, but this is the first time it's activated while I was actually posting something....what does this mean??

Now the underlines are gone....that does it.....no more drinking before 9 AM.

There was a stink. But it faded after several months.
 
It's not that I don't appreciate your humor,and your skills......with 25,000 posts, you are bound to learn all kinds of neat computer stuff......you can't have time for anything else.....but I really did want to know what this underlining stuff meant......I thought maybe it was a warning of some kind.....I was hoping a mod would step in to explain.......but I guess you have to hang out dirty laundry to attract them......:confused:
 
My compliments on such a left-handed compliment. A dry wit is always appreciated. Regarding your *ahem* problem... I would be willing to bet that folks more tech savvy than the mods have seen your post by this point. If they had known, they would have responded. Therefore, the only logical course of action is to drink even more before 9 am.
 
No, a mod may not have stepped in because a mod didn't know what did that.
If it was some button you pushed or a glitch with your system, what could we say?
Mods try to keep things running smoothly here but we aren't chosen for our computer skills. :)
 
Case in point... Esav dictated all his posts to an intern for the first three years he was a mod.

Was that before or after you finally relinquished the stylus and clay tablets?

Google is your friend. Someone on a diesel forum post reported the same thing. Someone else answered that it was a bug in the vBulletin software.
