Why does the 3 get scale choices and others don't?

Just curious? Like on the 6, some of us prefer canvas, not linen. The 3s, you can get any of the 3 materials offered. Are the 3s just such high volume that the different materials can be offered?

At least that's the word I've heard around town, in whispers and such.
(I'm assuming you're referring to the availability of G10 scales for the ESEE-3, they can be had for the ESEE-4 via TKC).

the 4 comes in every version the 3 does aside from the mil.

Also, i've got every esee knife. I have all the scale types. When I'm using them.... I can NOT tell the diffrence. G10, linen, canvas.... they all work. never an issue. Stop worrying FFS
