It's probably been asked before. But why doesn't the Custom Shop offer more handle choices?
Stag, G10, Micarta and Rams Horn to name a few.
I would love to get a couple of knives with Magnacut Steel and some better handle options.

Honestly I was surprised to see the 119 handle choices had slimmed down. I was over there browsing the other day and I’m pretty sure they use to offer more wood choices.

I would guess that they hold back some materials so they can use them for Limited Edition knives and avoid duplicating anything offered in the Custom Shop.

With all of the variations that Buck puts out, it seems like it would be a nightmare to make sure that no knives are duplicated throughout their entire lineup.

I wish they would bring back Buckeye Burl. That was one of the best ones.

There were supplier issues on some of the woods like the Buckeye Burlwood and Ironwood. The burlwood I fear is gone forever but we just got the 119 Ironwood back on the Website. We decided to focus on adding some new models and needed to update all of the blade steels but have now turned our attention to some new options and models. Adding a new blade steel to the custom shop is months of work in programing, grinding, heat treat, QC and finally producing enough new parts to supply the needs of the custom shop.

Thanks for the info.
Is there stag, micarta and rams horn in the future?
I would love to order some 112's and 110's in some of these covers.

I have no idea how many CS knives of all models are sold per month.. But Buck COULD say "While supplies Last" on any specific model or handle material. It's EASY to adjust the website to reflect availability! I still don't understand why CJ just doesn't drop a box of 112 drop point blades at the Custom Shop on the way to get a coffee..

Everything else about the knife is the same, so it is just a matter of having a different blade. Seems like it shouldn't be an issue. Of course, we are seeing a lot more drop point 112s then there used to be. So it seems it would be even easier to get them. In the old days, before I started collecting knives, you had to wait for some limited edition or special factory order to see a drop point 112.

Folks used to brag about finding a DP 112 back 10-15 years ago..at least I did lolo! I do know Buck didn't like changing anything on there website in years past but now a teenager can do at very little cost or hassle..So why not put limited stock handle materials as a option? If Buck finds enough Rams horn for a few dozen 110's or 112's just add it until it sells out. Or Zebra wood or Snake wood or many different exotic woods or horn? For one thing it will add a little excitement to the Custom Shop AND drive web traffic. It doesn't have to be for all models but I guarantee folks WILL check to see what's new this week or month and FOMO will of course factor in..
Edit: Like DP 112 Blades!
Double Edit: Even the coated DP blade like the new BOTM 112!! some of us really really want odd and different varieties...and will pay for it..

I think Buck should do a series of knives, maybe the next several Stealth runs where they cerakote the blas=des different colors and then etch different emoticons. One ould be nothing but happy faces, the next run could be angry emoticons, so forth and so on. The blade colors can even change.

I like your creativity but I am not sure I am on board with it.😀

I Don't want a bunch of eggplants on my knives...

They could do them as a holiday series. The February one could be pink with little hearts etched on the blade. March would be green with 4- leaf clovers etched on a green Cerakote blade. July is obviously a red-white-and blue theme with flag etched on the blade. I think that you get the idea.
