Well, not that much really... I have a Mini and a SFA.

However, today, I got in a small Hunter's Axe made by S.A. Wetterlings.

Wow. Great quality. Hand forged steel. Nice grained hickory handle.

Nearly half the price of the G. B. Wildlife Hatchet, which is comparable in size.

Think I may get the large S.A. Wetterlings Hunter's Axe as well.

I was drooling over GB Axes, until a buddy put me onto S. A. Wetterlings Axes. I now own a Large Hunters Axe & a Felling Axe.

I have used the Large Hunters Axe on many, many occasions  Great Axe and Great Price! :D

I still NEED a GB Mini though!

I got the Wetterling over the GB after reading the reviews. The GB was better for Pine but, the Wetterling worked better on harder woords, such as those as we tend to have down in Australia. I have the 50cm axe and it does all the odd jobs in the garden, great for car camping and I'll take it with me in the backback, when I go walkabout. It's the best thing to knock up a bush made camp.

Wetterling? hmmmm I have not tried one yet. I will pick up a larger one and give it a shot, their prices are really reasonable.

Can I also suggest Snow and Neally. I'm very happy with mine and they're in the USA. They've been around for many years. I blued the head just for kicks with Birchwood Casey's Perma Blue, gun blue paste, to give it a patina. Support the US and our old traditions.

The GB small axes have 1 lb. heads vs the Snow and Neally heads at 1 1/4 lb.

Along those lines (made in the USA that is), I recently came across the Knives of Alaska "Hunter's Hatchet". I have not seen one yet in person, but am definately interested.

Our new "Hunter's Hatchet" combines American-made high-carbon "S-7" tool steel and hand-rubbed, oil-finished American hickory handles to bring back an American woodsman'

This is my exact lineup also. I also have the Fiskars which is nice to use for a beater hatchet. Nice picture Guyon.

The only Wetterlings I ever played with was not sharpened enough to compete with a GB. But you could tell if sharpened they'd do just as well
