No, why? I don't understand the question. Please stay on topic, thank you!
Have you ever asked one of the sellers directly why they did it?

word of warning dude, if you ask a question on a open forum, be ready to get alot of jerk off responses. Then on the flip side, they are right, Use the search feature on the the forum.its there for a reason. But yea, I dont understand why people get so mad and come out with a d**k response. the truth is,its just plain ignorance.

Why do so many folks hide the price and or the knife they sell in the forum? Some actually go out of their way to remove pictures and lock threads after a sale. I'll never try to obscure the marketplace that way, I promise!
Part of it is because the specifics of a deal can be considered confidential. Personally, I like to keep the specific prices of my deals public, in the interest of reference for a fair marketplace. Others might not, and that's their right as well.
The other part, one that I can personally attest to, is as Insipid Moniker said, to avoid getting inquiries or offers on knives that are already sold. I've had people emailing me about knives that I've marked as SOLD!, in locked threads, from years prior, asking if it was still available. Part of playing the game, I suppose, but an annoyance nonetheless. The only way to stop this is to delete everything, and even that's not 100% sure, with caching/archiving.
I didn't think Rev did anything to deserve all that. The Mods here do a great job, and deserve a little respect..
