Small Regular Sebenza:
Got it Thursday. My first chance to write.
I'm glad I bought this knife, now I have a standard to go by when I compare all knives. It didn't take me long to conclude, it is as good as they say it is. I can say this is a masterwork, and I have handled and worked on a lot of knives.
First I like the stonewashed blade finish, it's the best finish for a working blade. The beadblasted scales look great, nice gray.
Knife operates smoothly as expected, lock up is a bank valt. Another thing I like is, the parked blade will not move side to side. All other folders I have done this too will have a "flex" side to side. Not this one. Impressed!

I tested cutting wood and cardboard and it cuts well. It doesn't slice like a Calypso, but this blade is ground for harder work, so that is ok. (well ground blade)

This knife is a complete package I expect to have it for a long time, or however long I have. The size is just right for my uses. I will have to toughen up my thumb though, it's sore, the opening and closing is a little harder than I am used to.

The only thing I would change is the stud. I would go with a more square one rather than the Christmas tree. Making it easier to open. Also a slightly longer handle would help (leave the blade alone).

Can't wait till it gets dirty, so I can open it up. Oh, oh, need the CRK greese.

After a few opening/closing cycles of the blade you will notice it will be easier to open. For me, I have medium sized hands so the handle works well for me. Sharpening the S30V steel blade is a chore but with patience when you sharpen it, you will have a sharp and long lasting edge.

BTW for me, I removed the pocket clips from all of my Sebenzas and replaced them with the clip inserts. I don't like to clip a $400 knife to my pocket because I am afraid of losing it! I use the CRK belt sheath to carry these knives in.

I've been carrying a small sebbie clipped to my pants pocket for over a year now. There's never been a time when I thought I could lose it. It simply doesn't move in my pocket.

All my jean pockets are getting worn out where it clips to the pocket. That's the only down-side.

The opening and closing will get a little easier and your thumb will toughen up. Congratulations on purchasing a great knife!

Great update. I recently bought one and posted my impressions, being generally disappointed with it.

A week later I changed my tune, it really is a great knife.

As others have mentioned, the pivot will break in and open smoothly and easily.

Did you get the double thumb lugs?

I agree with bulgron, I've had one clipped to the jeans for six or so years and have not lost one yet. The clip design that CRK uses is solid. Congrats on a great knife.

Yes, I do like it a lot.
I am working on a day on/day off carry so my thumb will toughen up. I expect in a little while all will be well.

Another issue... Lubrication:
I was going to use teflon oil I had in a needle nose plastic bottle, but I noticed right out of the box, on the washer area the CRK greese is much thicker than my oil. Fearing my oil was too thin, I ordered a bottle of the CRK greese. Now there will be no question of the best lube.

Clip: Is a must have for me. I have not lost a knife since I started wearing my knives IWB in the wasteband. Clip is under the belt...secure...
Speaking of the clip, it's perfect for this knife. It is sized for the knife. Most of the time makers use the same LARGE clip they use on their LARGE knife.
I end up making a smaller one that is better suited for the knife.

Edge: The polished convex edge is tough and is holding up well. When time comes to sharpen I will use my Edge Pro to reprofile, then it should be easy to touch up with the Sharpmaker. I know I can't just go to the Sharpmaker first, too much steel to remove.
