Why I cant search thread? how to do?

The forums tells me:

I want to search thread, how to do? Thanks.
 
You have to buy a gold membership or higher to be able to do some of the things on the forum like searches or selling knives. We're both basic members so we can't.
 
Thanks everyone for posting the links, sometimes I'm just to lazy to do it myself.
 
These forums cost money to run. I don't see why more people don't just spend a few bucks and become atleast basic members. I understand there are some people that truly can't afford it but there are a lot who can.
