The problem that I have is most noticable on the OLD SOG Vision liner lock... (the clip was "skelotonized")
I've noticed on about 3 of my production folders that the clips get in the way of opening the knife. Actually the clip gets in the way on most of my knives, BUT that's not the problem. The problem is FLIMSY CLIPS. If the clips have any give at all, it takes away from the torsion power (rotational force) in an opposite direction of the way my thumb is pushing. SO, what happens is that I am unable to give all of the force I expect to push the blade out, or at worst, I overcompensate and drop the knife because the clip gives.....
So WHAT am I ranting about? The solution to my problem would be to encourage knifemaker to either use recessed clips, or clips off-center (to the right). OR just to make sure that the clips are rock-solid.
What do you guys think?)
