Hey Jerry, Amy, Garth, Skunk, or anyone else who truly knows....Why is INFI dubbed INFI? Is there some history to it as an old pet's name, etc? I am sure I am going to get the typical wisecracks. But it would be interesting to know the true history behind the highly sought after and wonderful steel that is called INFI.

Thanks a lot!

I have a guess or two.

But I think I'd best keep them to myself.:o

If I still had one of my labs ... the temptation would be irresistible.

Goodness, Jamie... I thought you were going to spill the beans. :eek:

I was thinking it had to do with Jerry's composition...however I did not think he'd ever even hint at it. So I was starting to come up with idea that he named his steel after someone or something important to him. It would be nice to know....but not if it surrenders his secret concoction of greatness.

INFI got it's name from when jerry quit drinking a few years back.

it stand for Im Not Fricking Intoxicated, hence INFI was born.

.

I always assumed the NI was a reference to the nitrogen in the composition, a pretty novel concept back when Jerry developed the stuff, and then INFI to make it sound cool :D

I = Iodine
N = Nitrogen
F = Ferum (Iron)
I = Iridium

:D
I am not a chemist so just a guess.

Lol, the main reason I know this is a hoax is cause I kinda doubt Jerry has quit drinking for long enough to have such a nickname attached to his persona.

I think it means Infinity. I remember seeing A blade(SHBM maybe?) with the Infinity symbol of the spine of the handle. I'm pretty sure i saw it on Badmojo.
