Why is the time at the bottom of every page on Bladeforums always off the correct time?

Right now the BF time, as stated at the bottom of the page, is 10 minutes off the correct time, as far as I can tell. What's going on? I'm getting all discombobulated (and I looked that word up in a dictionary to get it right).
Does Bladeforums exist in a different time zone?
What's going on here, folks?
I'm scared.
Help.

I'm going to move this to Service and Support.

But if you want my guess, I'd say that the time you are referencing is based on the BladeForums.com server's internal clock (all our computers have internal clocks)...which is likely 10 minutes off.

I thought everybody knew that BF exists in a different dimension than everything else. Where have you been?

Edited to correct a typo.

Actually, unless computer clocks are linked to an automatic synchronizing device, I've found them to be some of the worst time keepers around! I can guess time better by looking at the sun! ;)

Windows XP has a time synchronization program built in. I believe later versions of Mac OS do as well. I personally use Socket Watch v3.5b. Slick program. I’m sampling clocks on 20 servers (I can set that number at just about anything) which are atomically set. It then averages all those clocks and sets my system clock to the fraction of a second. I can set this process to happen at any interval I wish. I’ll also set my watches once a month to this time. Ok, I admit I’m anal. :)
