SHINE IT IN THERE EYES????? Today I had to go to the local courthouse to take care of something and when i went into the metal detector i Asked for a claim ticket and a envelope to put my MT LCC and surefire E2 and my kneckknife in and when i was puting my belongings in the claim envelope he sees my E2 and asks about it. I obligingly hand it to him so he could check it out and whats the first thing he does? PUT THE LENS ABOUT 4 INCHES FROM HIS EYE AND BEFORE I COULD OPEN MY MOUTH TO SAY DON'T HE TURNS IT ON Stupid fool couldn't see anything but spots :) i had just put in fresh batteries this morning too. why do people to this its on the same level with forcefully flicking open folding knves especialy high end and customs. or dare i say throwing knives into objects to see if they will stick into it. why do people do these things??? is it genetics, too much algie in the gene pool? sorry if i sound like an a$$hole but i gotta vent. this seems to happen alot. not to long ago a guy at work asked to see my Microtech LCC after i got done anodizing the liners bluish purple and he proceded to forcfully flick it open and when he say me cringe he said "relax man i'm good with knives watch this " and he threw my knife into the corkboard on the wall. Yeah it stuck real good but his dumb a$$ forgot there was a concrete wall behind the 1/4 inch thick cork board. thanks to him i spent several hours after work putting a point back on my baby and redoing most of the mirror polish i had put on it less than a month before. on top of that when it fell out of the corkboard and hit the floor it put a small chip in the mother of pearl handle that i put on. that took another couple of hours to fix. can we please start handing these people loaded handguns and hope they have simaler evaluation techniques(sp) sorry for the rant just had to get that off my chest
cheers,

I hate it when someone shines a flashlight in my eyes to see how bright it is.

Holy Smoke! I'd tell that guy he owes you a new knife! What an idiot, sorry but that was the first thoughts that flew threw my mind as I pictured the LCC on it's fateful trip to the wall!

As far as lights go, yep, it's in the genes, must be, everyone I show my P9 always flash it in their eyes and go whoa that suckers bright!
No kidding! :D

Still wobblily after hearing that guy throw your LCC, solid knife, good thing!

trust me gary it REALLY hurt to see that thing fly i've put alot of time and effort into that knife. I'm pretty much no good at making folders but fixed blades i'm pretty good at so i bought the LCC because i thought it had alot of room for some changes heres what i did

Blueish purple anodized liners and pocket clip

buffed and lightly polished Ti bolsters

Mother of pearl handles

Mirror polished blade and engraved the MT logo

blueish purple anodized thumbsud

i took alot of restraint not to remove the guys testicals and feed them to him after he winged my baby

Yeah, I handed a friend my brand new Spyderco Viele, commenting on how smooth the action is, and what does he do? Slam it open as hard as possible. Not cool. Regarding the flashlights, what's even more fun is working with people wearing headlamps. Say something and what do they do? Look you right in the face. Where does their light point? Right in your eyes.

All I can say is just feel HAPPY that your knife STUCK, rather than bounce off the wall, and shatter into pieces as it hit the wall & floor!.:).

As far as the flashlight goes, next time hand him a powerful laser pointer and watch his eyes burn-out as he stares at the laser-light...!!

LOL! I have seen this happen before. Wait till folks try doing that with an M3.....with an M6 or 10X, their retinas will be burnt to a crisp :D

heheheheheheheeheh :p

Think of the 10x as a portable sun. :D Using the 110 and 500 lumen lamps you get approximately 575-600 lumens vs your E2's 60 lumens. Figure 10x as much light/power for maybe 7-8 times the mass. Very cool light. :) BTW, using the stock 60 lumen 10x lamp, you get about 540 lumens with both lamps.

Portable sun.hmmmmmm how much $$ do they go for and whats the power source i want one would be cool for scaring the wifes cat:D ;) :p

Yeah, those are the same dorfs who let a semi-auto slam to battery with an empty chamber, or spin a wheel-gun cylinder then flip-slam it like on TV.

Or, to see how sharp a blade is, run their thumb/finger DOWN THE BLADE, then are surprised when they lose blood and/or skin.....

Sometimes bitch-slappin someone is justified.

You know the Surefire M6 I own does pack a lot of photons, but it feels like it should. The 12ZM is about the same and is sooo much lighter. I like to have my Scouts close their eyes and cover them with their hands.... THEN I shine it at them and can still see the light ... that's a nice (and safer) impression...

In fact I said that would be the easiest way to kill someone. You take a maglite rig it like a black powder rifle and leave it on their desk. They pick it up, point it at their head and BAM.

I told this to some guys I was working with, they said BS. I put a mag lite out on a persons desk. What did they do? Picked it up, pointed at there face and pushed the switch. We all started laughing.

Curiosity will always kill the cat, dog, human.

I shine the light onto a wall or nearby flat surface.
