...that my Kershaw Brawler has an uneven edge and rubs against the liner when closing and my >$10 Mtech folders have no such problems? I thought Kershaw was supposed to be alright and Mtech was bottom of the barrel?

It is a mass produced, mechanically complex object. Bad ones will get through.

Does it have a really strong detent? If it's got a strong detent and the pivot screw is loose, the blade will rattle around a bit.

I've had a couple dozen Kershaws with NONE of the problems you've described. I've owned 3 Mtechs, 2 of them have had issues similar to yours(and the other was perfectly fine). Hope that "learns" you my philosophy.

Just email Kershaw and see about sending it back.They will fix it or send you a new knife. Try that with Mtech.
