Like title says. They are both less then a week old.when I open the para 2 slow it has a grinding feeling nothing major but the tenacious is alot smoother and I would think for the money difference it would be the opposite if anything

Have you tried loosening the pivot on the pm2 a bit? May also need a drop of lube on the detent ball.

They should both be smooth. The extra cost for the pm2 has to do with the much better steel and US production. Well worth it in my opinion.

I was hoping it was a break in thing. It is def a really nice knife.I bought the tenacious so I don't mess the para 2 up at work doing stupid stuff.

You just happened to get one that is. Its not model dependent.
You could order the same two again and it could be the opposite.
I've had many Para's, and some have been super smooth, some in the middle, and a couple I had to send back. This could happen with any model, and variances will happen with any production company.
The only way to avoid it is to go Custom, or mid tech, and even with some of those there will be variances on the same model knife.
