I got a Boker in a trade from a buddy of mine and it has a T-15 blade. I wanted it cause it will be living on my motorcycle 24/7 and needed something with superior corrosion resistance. I was looking up some terms tonight on AG Russell's site and it lists T-15 as " A "Super High Speed Steel" Not suitable for knives." I kind of like it. Why is it supposedly so horrible?

You're confused. The steel on your Boker blade is X-15 TN, not T-15. Here are some links to help you:

WEEELLLL, there is such a thing as T-15 high speed steel. edited to add: "Although I do not believe that Boker has ever used it."
http://www.diehlsteel.com/mt15.aspx

1.5% Carbon,
5.0% Cobalt,
4.0% Chromium,
12.0% Tungsten,
5.0% Vanadium
balance iron.

Runs about 67HRC. Got LOTS of WHOPPING LARGE carbides.
I'm not a metallurgist, but I doubt that it would take the fine edge that most folks desire for pocket knives.

See if mete has any comments. He is a metallurgist.
