Why is there jimping on the liners where you are rubbing your finger all the time? Shouldn't it be smooth? Doesn't feel good after flipping it a few times.

They're good for grip on your thumb once the knife is open. It does depend on your flipping style, too. I don't pull back on my flippers; I push straight in perpendicular to the handle. That way I can build up enough pressure to flip it open fast without using a wrist flick. If you push straight in like that, you don't rub against the jimping, either.

I just tried that...and now I feel like a moron. That seems to work much better anyway. Thanks!
