I bought a Leek with the D2/Composite blade. While it is an interesting idea, it seems at least with the Leek, more of a gimmick then a better mouse trap. D2 is not a crazy expensive steel, Queen Cutlery make their knives with D2 and similar sized blades are close in price to the Leek.
So what are the benefits?
