Why no back tool?

I was looking at what knife I was going to carry today and I grabbed a Ranger, then a Huntsman, Camper and Outdoorsman. I realized the Ranger is the only one that has a back side tool on the saw spring. I know there is a backside tool on the Outdoorsman but it shares a spring slot with the saw and fish scaler, but they each have their own spring. I was thinking either the small flat screwdriver or chisel might come in handy on the back of the saw for some of the other models.

It is a bit weird. And to top it off, I think the chisel would make most sense on the back of the wood saw…and the SD on the back of the metal saw like it was before ‘86/‘87.

Lots of times I have the wood saw and would like the chisel too. Like in a Camper.
