Just wondering...

Why isnt the RC-6 offered in canvas slabs?

Or another blade color?

It's on the RC3, RC4, HEST and RC5 - but not RC-6

I love the feeling of canvas micarta!

Me too!
I don't mind linen on smaller fb knives but I like bigger ones to have a little more grip. I just took a file to my RC6 slabs. ;)

I swapped the scales on my 5 and 6 just because I use my 6 for more woodsy type stuff and the canvas seems to grip a touch better for light chopping.

The biggest reason we haven't offered additional colors and materials is it adds more products to our lineup and creates more issues with dealers, distributors, ourselves. It's not as easy as just saying "hmmm, I want to start adding a different handle to the RC-6." Once we do that we have to generate a new part number. Generate more room to stock the item before shipping, and generally just more to keep up with. This same amount of extra work is then passed on to every distributor and dealer we have. So, think about this the next time someone says "we want ________ with _________ handles/steel/colors/etc." The actual work of doing something new to the product is easy. It's all the behind-the-scenes stuff that makes it a nigthmare.

Totally understandable - I cant imagine what it must be like to own and run a small business.

You guys just make it look too easy :D

Because Coyote Brown was cool when it first came out.

Yea ordering an rc5 in the days of 3 sheaths, 2 blade colors, and serr and non serr models was confusing as all get out. I actually waited an hour to sober up to make sure I didn't screw up somehow. Simple is good. One idea though, offer diffrent hAndles as an accessory. Less room, and less rotting stock.

It's hard to keep up with all the latest "tactical" trends, isn't it? I have always liked olive drab. It seems to blend well with a variety of terrain. Now we have the new and improved foliage green. If our next wars in in the arctic, white will be the new color, I guess.

We've already discussed the problem with selling handles slabs by themselves. Will never do that on any model that the handle is flush with the tang.
