IMO, the curve of the front bolster makes the 112 a nicer handling knife than either the 110 or 500.
That said, I find the 112 falls into the bad no man's land of tweener design.
((the 112 has a colorfull development story related to de ship it is named after
it was not intended as a tween size carry}}
IMO, its too thick and heavy for pocket carry. The 500 is infinitely better in the regard.
(( preaching to the singers in the chapel here! yep sir re 500 is a better go to meeting pocket knife!!))
And, if you're going to put a holster on your belt or carry the knife in a pack, I can't see favoring the 112 over the 110. That is, if I'm going to carry something that bulky, Ill just go for the 110.

This may upset the purist but I would love to see 110s get the 112 bolster and the 112 thinned out like the 500.
(( yowser man, jest drop a line to Joe Houser or Billy Bob and see it it happens ... cant hurt a tall
))
The one place where in think the 112 works is for tradesmen who need a knife for hard scraping work. The blunter tip a d thick squared grip allow more leverage to be applied with minimal damage to the blade (we see more tipped 110s, no?).
