Is there a good reason why descriptions of the knives are never included in the ganzas???

Sure some are obvious, but not all. Even on the obvious ones, we are left to assume blade thickness etc.

Seems a bit silly having to guess what a knife is or is not :confused:

Someone please enlighten me.

Keeps you on your toes. ;)
Which one do you have a question on?

Lot of knives, not that many hands to measure and describe them? If everyone comes to work and has a list of things that have to be done, describing each individual knife may not be as high of a priority, especially if you know they will sell either way. If you have any questions about a particular model, I'm sure there will be an answer available.

It's just something you're ganza think about until your score arrives... like Christmas! :p

And it is what it is, so I would bet whatever the specs are they won't change from the pic you see to what you get in hand anyhow. We do know that all of the Streets are .22 at least and I doubt the specs on the CG models have changed either so that should be of help.

Some specs of blades are resourced here:

None in particular, just want to know what I am looking at.

Surely knowing that they will sell either way does not excuse the courtesy of giving a full description for the item being sold

I know it (no description) seems to have become an accepted practice in the ganzas and you can always find out details eventually, it would just be more helpful to have the details with the picture.

This is probably not my place to jump in but since I am pretty new to this part of BF, maybe I can offer a different view point.

In my way of thinking, the GANZAAS are here as a sort of "reward" , "PERK", "BENNY" for those who are citizens of this particular corner of the BUSSE FORUM.

I don't think anybody here would describe the way things are run as, "discourteous". When and if there is time for individual descriptions as in the case of the PROTO MUK offering, they do their best to put a description on with the listing.

However, in the case of these extraordinary CUSTOM pieces (how many in total? Something like sixty) to pay somebody to sit with a dial caliper and write out the specs, and then pay somebody else to enter the specs in the computer is not only silly, but it is plain BAD BUSINESS sense. (Read: waste of time)

As I said, the GANZAAS reward the loyalty of those who are either, "HOGS" or "HOG WANNABE'S". If you don't have some sort of status, and you are trying to take advantage of the LOW PRICES, or SPECIAL OFFERINGS, then it might be said that sometimes the shoats get last pick at the trough.

I don't want to start any sort of difficulty> Lord knows I generally use , "TOO MUCH HAMMER" when handling this sort of things. And these folks have more patience for stuff like this...

But your tone is a bit snotty. If you decide not to buy because you don't know , "how many "thou" the blade is", well that is just fine with the rest of us who are trying to squeeze together the funds to buy the ones we like.

Hope this post is helpful.

most Busse fans know generally what the knives are, and their specs. Consult hogcult.com or bussecollector.com to familiarize yourself with the styles and specs. because many of the pieces are from the custom shop, it would be helpful to know the handle materials in some instances where they are not obvious.

This is an interesting point of view, Shane, but I’d have to disagree respectfully.
There appears to be enough confusion among “Hog Wannabe’s” regarding handle materials and thickness (are there any ABS’s among BS’s) of some models offered that more information would seem to benefit a lot of potential buyers. Jaxx and others are doing their best to help out, but their answers seem to be more of the speculative nature then factual.

In general, I don’t think providing better description to the products offered for sale to general public, is a bad business at all, saying that, and not being privy to Busse Combat business model, I might be on the wrong there…

Lastly, “find out yourself what you are offered” and “if you don’t like how it’s done, don’t buy” sounds a bit condescending to people who are not experienced enough with everything Busse have to offer.

However, if Busse Combat is making these Ganza offerings primarily to their HOG army, you are right, and it would be prudent for guys like me, who are still discovering Busse knives, to sit this one out.

In the past, I've sent an email inquiring on the spec's of a particular knife and received a very fast response. Busse customer service is second to none.

Need info, just ask. I'm sure they will be happy to help you out.

I just don't agree with anything in your post. I'll leave it at that.
