As you've mentioned, CRKT also used a Viele design for one of their knives.
Have you ever considered asking for exclusive rights from a knifemaker?
Maybe exclusive isn't the right word, but a clause that prevents them from selling designs to other manufacturers?
Of course it would probably cost a little more.
Would it be worth it?
