Why No Fixed Blades?

Just a very simple (and probably naive) question from a "newbie" here.

Been constantly watching Forum: For Sale: Custom Knives (Individual) here on BF.

Why is it that so very, very few handmade fixed blades ever come up for sale by owners?

Wondering about "sales by owners," "used" blades.

Sorry, dude, guess I misinterpreted your initial post.

On that note, I'm going with the owners are super happy with the quality/performance of their custom blades and therefore unwilling to part with them.

I know the few I have purchased were after much deliberation so I suppose I had a good idea I'd end up being content with it.

My original post was confusing. Allow me to clarify.

Forum: For Sale: Custom Knives (Individual) here on BF has a plentiful daily flow of flippers/folders for sale, most of them are NIB or LNIB. The quality designation tells me that many are buying/holding/selling flippers and folders or trading out of their collections, not their EDCs.

So, if collectors are selling/trading their flippers and folders out of their rotating collections, why aren't owners of custom/handmade fixed blade collections doing the same?
