Why no Kabar Forum?

There's a lot of Kabar talk on here. The closest thing to Kabar is the Becker forum, but I don't want to clutter up the Beckerhead's board...

Who's up for a Kabar Forum? I'd volunteer to moderate it. It's my favorite brand.

How about it guys?

I believe manufacturers pay to have a forum up on this site. If they aren't paying for it it's not going to be here.

Moved to Tech Support, where we discuss website policy.

Ka-Bar forum? Ask Ka-Bar to contact Spark. See the FAQ:

Manufacturers Forums

BladeForums.com is proud to offer industry Manufacturers the ability to have live interaction with their customer base. Our sole requirement for this service is that the manufacturer provide official company representation. We also encourage that the manufacturers help contribute to the community by providing products for our support giveaways & auctions.

BladeForums.com provides a powerful tool in the customer service world, and can be a tremendous boost to your company's public image. With proper customer service personnel & a willingness to interact with your end user base, you will not be disappointed in the results.

I don't see [Company X] represented, why not?

We do not provide "unofficial" company or "fan" forums for any manufacturer. In order for there to be a dedicated forum for any specific company, they must show the willingness to take part in the discussion.

If you do not see your favorite manufacturer listed here, visit their website and contact them by phone or email, and request that they join in. If enough of their customers have a demand for it, they will come.

Ah, that could explain it then. Wasn't sure how it worked on here. Every forum is different when it comes to that kind of stuff.

Doesn't Toooj count as official representation? He posts on the Becker and General forums that I've seen.

We still can't assign him to the job. Ka-Bar has to ask for a manufacturer forum and see who they can ask or assign as moderator.

Hey, guys, there's good news and bad news as far as a KA-BAR forum.

The good news is that this has already been proposed, discussed, and may already be in the works.

The bad news is that it hasn't happened yet.

Will it happen? I can't say . . . because I just don't know. KA-BAR's already considering it though, so it very well may happen.

That's all I can ask for then. I'll still volunteer to moderate, just so they know.:D

There are a whole lot of people who love KA-BAR, and would like to see them have their own forum. I wouldn't look for one before the first of the year, though, in any event. After that? Who knows? All I can say is that it is being discussed.

Nice of you to volunteer ahead of time, but be wary of volunteering — you never know what can happen.:D

NOW you tell me. :grumpy:

* ****** **** ****** *

It wouldn't hurt for a few more devoted Ka-Baristas to communicate their appreciation for a company forum here.

Gee, Bro, I . . . I thought you knew.:D

It really has been discussed, and Spark was all for it (of course). What KA-BAR will actually decide to do, I don't know, but like you said, it couldn't hurt to have more people voice their appreciation for a KA-BAR forum.

I moderate on another forum...

I know what I'm getting into. LOL. :p

This ... is ... Bladeforums!
