I never ever see any custom Mach1s and never hear of anyone using them as an EDC knife. same goes for the Raven and Specwar. why do they got no love? My wife just got a Mach1 not to long ago and we both like it more than my production CQC7b SF. Anyone know why the Mach1 just isn't popular?

Well, it seems that there are three parts to your question,

For the Mach 1,it's a great knife, guess it's maybe just that most of us are spoiled for the wave, and the if asked to choose between the Mach 1 and the Commander, the more popular choice would be the Commander, due to it coming to us with a Wave®...thus it basically boils down to consumer choice and preference...in a word, it's just the Wave®

For the Raven, some people seem to prefer G-10 over Krydron, and thus many of them would usually go for the other models in the line...EKI seems to have addressed this issue with the addition of the Blackbird to the production knife line...it's basically a raven, but with G-10 handles...

For the Specwar, it's situation is pretty much the same as the Mach 1-Commander issue...Many of us would prefer to have something with a Wave®, and in that case, the SOCFK fits in to position...it's basically a Waved [CQC7-Specwar] combination...again, this can be attributed to the Wave®

Guess it's mainly the preference of people to have a waved knife that makes the difference...:D

I alos own a Mach 1 and don't carry it often. It is an outstanding blade but it carries a little high in the pocket. Makes it easy to spot and also likes to knock my pager out of it's holder, not a good thing!:D

I love my Mach 1 and I do agree that it needs more publicity. I mirror polished the blade on mine, but alas it sits in "the box" while my waved 7 is in my pocket.
