Why no talk about the Hinderer Firetac?

After owning an XM-18 for a while and being very impressed with the quality, I'm thinking about buying a Firetac as my EDC. There's just not many people talking about the Firetac on this forum. Is there a reason for that? I can't figure out why this knife isn't more popular.

Its not a really popular model, its more of a competitor to a CRK than the xm, more of a generic design

General impression of Bladeforums seems to be that it's textbook Hinderer (good points and questionable points), but the design is underwhelming, and the price is well into Chris Reeve territory.

Whether he intended it or not, RH's knives have always been seen as the base-model work truck to the Sebenza: you buy an XM, if you're really going to be getting covered in it.

The Firetac simply fails to feel like value for the money, when held up against Chris Reeve's offerings.
