Why no torx screws?

Just wondering why CRK does not use Torx screws? There is more surface contact on Torx. So they will likely not strip out that quick and Allan keys look a bit outdated I think.
CRK will most likely have a good reason for it?!
 
Hex keys are easy to find. Well made Torx bits are more expensive. It's also much easier to use the wrong size Torx head (typically one smaller than required) and strip out the teeth. This is a low torque application, hex is a very reasonable choice.
 
from what I understand the hardware is ether made in-house or made for him! if it looks dated thats just CRN's,most people would say a lot of his folders look sort of out dated as well! I don't mind because they always works , I have never striped out any of his hardware on my knifes.
