Why not a separate 'sharpening' forum?

It seems that so much of this forum is about sharpening, that those of us wanting to read and post about the other stuff this forum is for would love to see this split into a separate sharpening forum.

Any chance?
 
i asked spark a long time ago and he said there is no need for a seperate sharpening sub forum
 
Do we want to add a sharpening forum or do we just need another room to corral the kiddies so the adults can have mature discourse? I think it may be time to quit working around and avoiding the kiddies and start dealing with the root problem. Since we can't make them any smarter maybe we can make them behave or go away. Unfortunately the moderators have enough work without trying to enforce manners too.

Guyon, the reason why I'm in the HI forum the most is I ran out of forearm hair to shave and it easier to use a Khukuri to get to my shins & calves. I'd post about my back hair but it might be Too Much Information:p
I'm just a bit cynical after having read Kevin's 2 year old warning in PracTac. But if we go down that slippery slope I think Marty & Steve's list is a good place to start.

You should just look into an intern. Preferably female, over 18, and really good looking. :D
 
Guyon I'll have to look into that option any ideas on how to keep the MILF and her attorney out of the loop?

On a more serious note. Just an eyeball of the traffic on the "new" subforums (fairly low) created with the software upgrade makes me think that maybe we have thinned ourselves out too much. I was all for some of the new subforums but I wonder if Spark's hesitation to create them was more well founded then he realized. I think we might have more subforums just so the adults can have a higher signal to noise ratio in the places that they like to hang out. It was fine when the common mantra was "i never venture into political & prac/tac" but here recently even after school has gotten back in that has continued to expand to include General and Maintenance Tinkering & Embellishment. Makes me think that maybe the lunatics have taken over the asylum and the Pirates are too apathetic to take it back. Not trying to piss on anybody just a cold analysis of the facts as I see them.
 
I don't see a reason to thin things out even further.
