Why is it that you don't see many sarge 6. To me they seams like the perfect camp blade. If you got pics show them and tell me a little info on them or just tell. I would love to get one but none to be found. Thanks alot guys you All are so helpful.

The reason you can't find a Sarge 6 is because there is no such thing. They made a Sar 6 & 8 and a Sarge 7. The 'ge' stands for, as far as I know, Garth Edition.

The Sar models are completely different to the Boss Jack - they are considerably larger, completely different handle design and the blade height is a probably a good 10-12mm higher than the BJ too.

I have bought and sold over forty Busses and the SARGE 7 is one of the 5 or 6 that Ive kept.
My favorite in that size range.

Sorry theres so many names I have a hard time getting them all right. But your right the sar 6 must be that good because you never see them I would love to get my hands on one I think they are the perfect light camp/ backpaking blade. Thanks for the info though and the correction and garth thats some cool s**t that the sarge line is named after you.

I've got a Sarge 7, it was my first Busse. It was followed quickly by a TGLB. So the sarge 7 sits oiled and locked away :) Id like to see some pics too. Never handled a SAR 6, like to get one myself :D
But your right you just don't see many of them.

The SAR 6 is scarce. One was on the exchange the other day and went in less than two minutes!

The SAR 6 was one of my first Busses and would be one of the last I'd sell. It is just a great feeling knife all around.

And also how do you think the boss jack compares to the sar 6. Thanks.

Given the choice, I'll take a Boss Jack any day.

Not that there's anything wrong with the SAR 6, I just like the Boss Jack more... the handle fits me better, and I like the no choil option.

What's the weight on the SAR6? One thing I like about my SARGE7 is that it weighed the same as my SAR4 but had a more balanced feel because of the longer blade. Another SARGE7 and SAR3 combo, although I had to sen the 7 to the shop for the black canvas.

A pic of the LEs although I don't have the 4 or 3 anymore.

Try a Pork Shank.

I wouldn't mind the Pork Shank blade and 1" height but with the SAR profile curved/swelling handle. I like the shank but not a big fan of the handle. And in case anyone is wondering, the Satin/Black Canvas Sarge7 above comes in a 14.3 oz. The SAR3 is 5.1 oz. I have a DCBB Pork Shank with black canvas and it is 6.4 oz.

I'm a big fan of the Pork Shanks and the SAR 6
I never leave the house without my "Pork Shank" ;) L
