Does anyone know why there are so many Ferrum Forge × Mass collaboration "Gents" being listed for sale so often on the auction sites?
Were they not great, or is it perhaps just a matter of so many being produced that it's normal?

I'm curious because every day I get messages about at least 3 new ones being listed. There are no other knives that I see this with, and I track quite a few. I also see a lot of Striders every day, but these are usually being sold at a markup.

Does anyone own a FF×Massdrop Gent and if so what are your thoughts about it?

I'm looking to get my pops a new blade for Father's Day and my EDC is s Ferrum Forge, so getting him a FF as well I thought would be a good gift. But I don't want to buy him one if it's just a "meh" kind of knife or there are legitimate shortcomings.

Thanks

Its a great knife. I bought one dirt cheap when MD did their sale on black friday. It flipped great with a great detent it was just a little small for me. So i sold it without even carrying it. Just my experience.

The falcon comes up a lot to for sale on the exchange. I've almost grabbed one of the winged ones...people are unloading them at like half the drop price. I havent read anything really bad about them so not sure what the deal is.

I have had my Gent Select CF since February 2019 and it's been great. Carried it just the other day.

It lacked loctite on the pivot but that is easily remedied. I wish mine was the rosewood though. It wasn't available at the time.

I have one, too. Great knife. It may get moved one day to make room for something else in the rotation. Nature of the beast....lol.

I had a rosewood for a while, lost it, bought a G10 version to replace it. When I was going to the office daily it was a nice discrete carry that almost disappears in your pocket. IMO it's got a very nice blade to handle ratio which makes it feel and perform like a little larger knife than it is. It's a great steak cutter and has a very useful S35vn blade. It's one of the few Drop items that I feel was a home run, that and the Och's Orca. It's a great little flipper. I have a MBK EZC which is almost exactly the same size, again IMO, the Gent it a far better knife to use. I liked the S/W Rosewood a little better then the satin G10 version but the Rosewood and CF weren't available when I was looking to repurchase though I see now they are again.
