Why Teflon over DLC?

So I bought a Lawman and it has been my EDC for a couple weeks now. I bent the clip to fix one of my issues with the knife, but the Teflon is becoming my second issue. The stuff wears off if you even breath on it.....which explains a post I did earlier on how to best strip it. Why does CS use this coating? IMHO...it is crap......but looks awesome new.

My guess is Teflon is cheaper than DLC.

It is cheaper than DLC. I don't think CS cares what happens to the blade coating after you use it.
