WHY THE ANG KHOLA IS KING

Cliff just finished testing several tough knives and the only one that did not suffer damage was the Ang Khola. Surprised? I think not. Not to me anyway.

I have been abusing, err, I mean using one of my Ang Khola's for almost 3 months now with no I'll effects to any part of it. It is ugly now, since I have not maintained and left it out in the rain as well as stuck in the dirt, etc. But it continues to work hard. It has some minor spotting on the blade, which I removed easily with an SOS pad. The polishing really goes a long way to increase corrosion resistance. but even if in ten or twenty years I were to get some pitting 1/16 inch deep because I never cared for it, that would still leave over 3/8 inch of steel which is thicker than any other knife made.

"...the Himalayan Imports Ang Khola is the
absolute toughest knife I have ever had the pleasure of owning, and I don't think there
is any knife even at 4 times the cost that can compare to it. It simply has no
competition so far as far as my personal experience goes. The blade will not budge and
the entire khukuri is as solid as ever. In fact it's at my uncle's house doing tree
chopping duty for the last month and next few months. Cliff is testing it along with the
others in his overall test and he may or may not have a different view. I think that with
the number of knives he's got testing, whatever conclusions will be quite accurate."

I'm sorry to say that the 15 inch Ang Khola is not the toughest kid on the block. I was wrong, but this happens. There are times when you need to sit back and analyze what you say or do to see if it is correct. The 15 inch Ang Khola is second and maybe even third toughest knife. Do you want to know what is the toughest and second toughest? Rusty, are you getting impatient? Because I can ramble on and on and on. Ok, the toughest is the.........and this is only from my impressions, mind you, is the 20 inch Ang Khola and second toughest I'm going to assume is the 18 inch Ang Khola. So the 15 incher may be the toughest pound for pound but not the toughest overal. My mistake.

Don't say until you have tested, Cobalt. Your 18 inch and 20 inch Ang Kholas along with a few strips of beef jerky to give you energy for testing will be leaving Reno 2 PM our time.
