Why the CBCF serial numbers go above 1000

Many people in many different threads asked how this is possible. And to save me time I decided to make a new thread instead of posting it individually in all threads involved. Here's a quote that may help you out.

I guess what it means is that materials dictate the ultimate tally. Plus, you have to make some extra if possible to cover warranty and parts. Blems and mistakes aside, it's probably inefficient to track exact serial numbers. It wouldn't surprise me if QC takes place after the serial number is laser etched.

Then again, I could be wrong.

I carry mine, storing it for years for someone else to have it nib isnt my style. When I die, I wont get to carry knives anymore so Im going to carry some nice knives while I am here

Got 2 of em, one to use and one as a backup.

I don't know if anyone thought of this but all the drama about how many were made would've never even been brought up if ZT hadn't put Serial numbers on them..no one would be the wiser..

Thing is I think the Serial nos. are cool..wonder if the 0600's and 0888's will be numbered?

I do believe all ZTs are numbered.

It is true that none would be the wiser but I think its more cool and appreciate that they are numbered. Makes it even more your own!
