doing what?
well, first of all, when it came in second hand, I really spanked it and killed a lot of wood with it, did a post on that earlier right here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=703945
then, I kind of used it just to play around with it, flipping it is great.
decided to do a polished edge on it with some fine grit japanes waterstones.
then, I decided to kind of do a takedown video on it right here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=722690
then, I got fed up with the chisel grind and a little chip damage and totally reprofiled it to a v grind on the stones
And the latest addition to this use and abuse is that I took it to the spyderco sharpmaker because my reprofile action was a little off on the angles and I had trouble getting the angle of the edge on the former flat edge to center under the spine.
I just did a rebevel action on a sebenza with the sharpmaker and decided I wanted to to a comparison between how the horseman's steel (154cm) sharpened and the sebenza's steel (s30v)
the 154cm seems to be easier to sharpen for me and it's a lot faster in getting a shaving sharp edge compared to the s30v.
The horseman is in perfect shape right now (except for the liner lock, see earlier post), being sharpened, it's being used, it's being enjoyed etcetera.
So why am I doing this to my horseman? the answer came to me just now: I just love the little knife and just love to give it some attention
now, if I can just stand missing it when I send it in for a tuneup...
