Why the reverse logo on my 880SP ?

The stamped logos on my new 880SP are on opposite sides of the blade than those of every picture I've ever seen of this knife. That is, the "BOS ATS-34 U.S.A." is by the thumb stud, and the Strider-Buck is on the clip side. Also, the Strider-Buck logo is up quite close to the spine.

Was there a particular production period when this is the way it was done? Or is this some kind of a second? Or what?

Anyway, it's a great knife. No complaint whatsoever.

BTW, I got this knife NIB on eBay for only $71.00

Sounds like a batch got done backwards. You might have a valuable collectors item on your hands. It may also have been an earlier marking style. Either way you have one of a few.
