Hi all! I've noticed a suddent influx of interest in the P.Hobbit recently, why?

There were few forumites looking for it in sale/trade forum and questions regarding it here in general forum.......my research's conclusion was it's not in favour back when it was released......got me thinking a bit.

Gentrified? i think it only works on the Sifu because of it's size....the P.hobbit would be too small. Besides, it works best with fingger grooves IMHO.

It's the wave of the week, keninshiro.
I've watched for quite some time, the ebb and flow of interest in this or that knife-of-the-week. One week a certain knife attracts mucho attention and comments and threads of all sorts. Then we seem to tire of it and the next week or the week after that, on comes the newest or next knife-of-the-week.
Pretty neat in that it seems that all relevant info on a particular knife comes to light and we all gain a helluva lot more knowledge on that knife then we would ever have gotten from the knife rags and such.
That's my theory on the sudden interest in the Pocket Hobbit. Could be something entirely different, but that's my take on it.

Let me tell you about my SIFU!

I agree with Misque. It seems like people get interested in certain knives for a little while, then it dies down...and a new one come up. It seemed like two weeks ago it was the REKAT Carnivour. At least once a month is the Sebenza. Not to mention the Synergy.

I too get caught up in these waves...it's the "got to have that one in my collection" knife of the week. I'm not sure if it's good or bad, but I usually have enough self control to not run out and buy one.

Tell me about it! Thank God my wallet's the one that controls me and MOST of the time, just one or two in a few months.....

I think the "knife-of-the-week" theory is correct. One comes and the other must go sort of thing. But the bright side is we get to learn more in one thread than a full page in mags.(ooppss...no pun intended).

Thank you for the answers!

Well, if anyone wants mine, I've got a numbered p.hobbit on the exchange forum.
Got a Sifu for me?

Yeah, I thought it was cool when I got it, but it just didn't really work out that well.
Not quite my style.
