I have been posting or lurking (usually lurking) on this forum for a number of years. Only a handful of times have I not kept up with it, mostly in the past few months.
This is why I enjoy this forum so much- most of my close friends and family live far away. In this city, with my daily routines, there usually isn't anyone I trust that I encounter. Also, I don't have much reinforcement that there are a lot of good people left in this world.
I enjoy coming to the forum and seeing that honor is still alive. I enjoy seeing that there are still good men (& women) that can come together and treat each other with respect and fairness, and share their views honestly, knowing that regardless- it will be received with an open mind and given a fair chance.
Granted- there are occasional challenges to the peaceful, honorable nature of this forum, in retrospect, it is often like occassional dash of hot sauce in the soup. gees- I couldn't come up with a better metaphor.
