Why this section of the forums upsets me

I always check this section of the forums out and it just bugs me that it even needs to exist. Knives are - if not the oldest tools in the world and I guarantee are founding fathers never thought knives would be regulated. A criminal doesn't think twice about what knife or gun or what they carry but law abiding citizens do which in my mind sets them up to be victims. Not saying if you have the opportunity to flee you should but if you can't you should be able to defend yourself and others,loved ones around you. Now knife fights are not fun and you will get cut maybe even die keeping in mind most harden criminals have been locked up and probably learned how to use improvised knives and such in lock up. Regulating knives is just ridiculous and I'm in va I got a CHP so I can carry a handgun concealed but not a fixed blade but I can open carry 1 makes no sense so I usually carry them both open...sorry for my rant but I wish we could all carry what ever knife we wanted state to state with no worry.

Of course the Founders would never have thought knives would be regulated, any more than axes or saws.

But of course they never thought firearms would either, as far as for purposes of hunting, sport, or self defense. The only reason 2A is in there is to ensue the people have the practical means to combat a tyrannical government should all else fail.

But hey, even if knives were specifically included in the Bill of Rights, it's pretty obvious that wouldn't have prevented all the state (or federal) regulation of them -- after all, it hasn't done so for firearms, eh?

Don't worry. After our beloved politicians will ban knives, criminality will decrease significantly. I mean, each time a bad guy will want to commit a felony using a knife, he will have to remember "I'm not allowed to do this, damn!" and of course, behave himself full of shame

Be thankful you don't live in the uk. You guys don't know how lucky you are in the USA.

I won't rant about laws because I'm having a terrible night already. So that is all.
