Why? (Venting)

eBay used to be a place to get deals but lately their prices are significantly higher than online knife shops. It's partly eBay's rates which have gone up and partly because so many sheeple equate eBay with - "I'm getting a great deal."

I have found some eBay powersellers and introduced myself as a fellow merchant and buying direct is the way to go.

You aren't allowed to this via eBay though, you have to actually know them and then it's a "nothing to do with eBay deal" when you do business together.

ebay is not necessarily for informed buyers. Many people use it as a convenience, you can just buy whatever you want and be done.

Note that Buck is selling Sirus knives on it's web specials site for $30, while many are selling on ebay for $49 plus shipping.

I guess the quick answer is that people are lazy and will pay for the convenience of being lazy.
