Why was Benchmade 525 Mini Presidio discontinued?

Hi, does anyone know why the BM 525 was discontinued? I've got the BM 527 and like it alot but wish it had 154CM like the 525. The 440C on the 527 just doesn't hold up. But what's strange is that the BM 527, 585 mini-barrage, and 555 mini-grip are all priced pretty close but the 527 is the only one with a 440C blade. Thanks.

I guess 527 has got different blade shape and steel so it would not complete with 525 that would be in a different class, so priced differently compared to 527, 585 and 555. The steel cost would not be a factor there, it would be a marketing/positioning issue from my point of view.
But I might be wrong there: Benchmade has proven me wrong earlier, I guess most recently with their purchase of Lone Wolf brand (and then destroying it rather than using it to tackle a different market segment). But again, that's my personal view on what happened: I can not claim I understand their marketing strategy.
