why was my petition thread closed ?

i posted a petition on legalizing balisongs in the UK but i was told by a moderator that i need to ask the owner of the website to do that first and all of a sudden bam my thread was closed first off understandably i am annoyed because i wasnt aware posting a link to a website without asking permission was against the rules and secondly i cant contact the owner of the petition website i was posting as there is no "contact owner" or anything like that anywhere on the website so i couldnt ask i would politely ask could i please get my thread either re opened or allow me to repost the thread without it getting closed again
 
i never said it was the owner of the petition i was saying i was unable to contact the owner of the site as there is no "contact owner" button or link anywhere on the site
