Why was the 0610 discontinued?

Just ran across a picture of one and never knew it existed. Does anyone have any info on it? I'd trade for my 0350SW in a heartbeat I like the look of it so much. Really wondering the technical details to see if it's worth hunting down. I likes me some tanto and the 0700 grip shape is a no go. I need a ZT tanto!

How long ago was it discontinued?
 
I like the 0610 but the one that gets my attention after handling them is the 0650 auto. Not a tanto but a sweet ass knife in the hand and designed by one of my favorite designers ;)

Yeah Ive been looking for a 0650 kinda hard to find
 
I own both the 610 and 650, and love them. I prefer the fire button and safety on the 610, and I think it's a better looking knife. Both are great though - very well built, fire hard. I collect and own primarily auto knives, so I wish Kershaw/ZT would make more. If they don't, then Pro-Tech, Microtech, Paragon, and Piranha will get my auto knife business. I will of course keep buying, using, and collecting Kershaw and ZT. :)

Do you have a Rogue? Its actually a pretty beefy Auto
 
Yep, I've got a Rogue too. It's a very impressive knife, and like the others is well-built, fires hard, and feels great in the hand.

I wish I'd gotten a chance to play with Kershaw's D/A OTF auto prototype that they had at Blade Show.
 
Kinda off subject BlackOpsSec but do you have the Spyderco Citadel. Its the only Spyderco I own and its one of my favorite autos
 
I wish they came in plain edge.

I really like the Kershaw Emerson Auto Commander. They must be extremely rare as I've only ever seen one for sale.

No, I don't. I'm not even familiar with it, and I don't own any Spyderco knives right now. Regardless, thanks for the suggestion! :) This just might be my next purchase if I can find one.
 
I don't like the blade profile on the Embassy.
Looks like I'll be searching a while for a Citadel, and I do love the looks of it. :)
 
I have a 650 blem that I got in a trade not long ago that is awesome! It is serrated but I dont mind them considering the size of the blade. It fires fast and locks up solid. I'm not very big on autos but I love carrying it.
