lots of new guys asking lots of good questions.


thought it might be easier if ONE THREAD could answer most of those.

here's my list, subject to update and change at any time:

1. infi is fantastic steel. nuff said there.

2. even productions are like customs. how many other production makers give so many choices for coating/finish and scales?

3. warranty is second to none.

4. jerry is the best. amy is the best. garth is the best.

5. the janitor and the rest of the crew are great too.

6. GANZA.

7. ive met some of the best people anywhere right here on the busse forum.

And as much as it is the actual products - it also is indeed the great people that really makes this all very enjoyable and special.
 
+1 here Morimotom :thumbup: Actually just hang around a little, buy your first Busse and you too will see and agree....everybody does :D It's INFInevitable :eek:
 
My list? Here goes:

1) INFI. Yeah, that's four letters, and those alone are reason enough to like Busse. INFI is a most excellent steel for hard use knives meant to last whatever you throw at them.

2) Warranty. Not many places offer this kind of warranty anymore: if you break it, we'll fix it. Busse does.

3) The community is great, all the way from the boss hog man Jerry Busse himself to the crazy INFI nuts who hang around this forum and others.
 
It has pretty much been coverd. I'll only add that for me it is a 90% about the people.:thumbup:

For me, it began with the knives and the warranty.

It has since moved on to the Community. I agree with Tony G. :D

Whether you buy one knife ... a hundred knives ... or are just interested -- you're an equal member of this community.

Not only do I own an incredible indestructible knife, I get to hang out with some of the finest people I've ever had the chance to meet.

I agree with all the above but, what really nailed it for me:

(1) Warranty
(2) I have beat on my knives a lot, even abused them a few times :eek:, and they just laughed at me.
(3) Jerry and crew's customer service. :D
 
Great knives. Unbelievable warranty. Amazing folks at Busse (like Kendra, Lora, Amy, Cathy, Jerry, Jennifer, Waz, Sammie, Garth, Josh and others I'm sure I've forgotten). Great, great people on this sub-forum.

Oh...

And the frigging awesome cheesecake!!!
 
And don't forget the knowledge level of Busse knives on this forum. You ask a question about any Busse knife and someone here will help you. Good folks.
 
I agree with everything that has been said above. I'd like to add that it is the knives themselves that are most important to why Busse is so great. The sum of great design, great steel, great handle materials, great fit and finish, great heat treat etc. = some pretty amazing tools. The awesome customer service, warranty and community are just icing on the cake. Once you own and use a Busse, you quickly realize how much nicer they are than pretty much everything else on the market. I have a huge collection of knives from other manufacturers, which have been gathering dust since I scored my first Busse. I have purchased only one knife from another manufacturer since, and that was a folder.

In addition, I've never encountered a company that goes so far above and beyond what is expected to make purchasing and using their product an enjoyable experience. Busse is a truly great company, that makes a great product, which is staffed and surrounded by a bunch of great people.

I think Jerry has worked hard to build a company that mirrors his personality. He's a great guy to talk to, makes you feel like you've known him a while even if you haven't. I think he also truly cares about his customers and what they want in terms of knives and service. This shows through in Busse Combat. :cool:
